Werner Kosloswki, born on the 02.04.59 in Gary/Indiana, USA, ran after his education as a cook trough different known stations of the higher gastronomy, first as Commis de Cuisine in the restaurant Wastelhuber in Breitbrunn at the Chiemsee (1 Michelin-Star) and in the restaurant Dronningen serving his royal highness Olav of Norway.
Afterwards, his career guided him amongst others to the Munich Preysingkeller (1 Michelin-Star), to the hotel Bachmeier am See in Rottach-Egern and as souchef to the restaurant “La Cuisine”, where he became the youngest Michelin star cook of Germany (1 Michelin Star, 16 Points Gault-Millau, 2 Varta-Coins). Further, he worked in the “La Vie”, one of the top ten restaurants of Munich.
In 1989, Werner Koslowski opened together with the Alpenhof in Frasdorf (Bavaria) his first own restaurant, bringing together exquisite kitchen, the appreciating of art and outstanding music events themed “Koslowskis art & kitchen”. With his successor “Koslowksis restaurant & bar”. in the city Rosenheim he received immediately position 303 of the listing “Germany’s best cooks” in 2007.
In addition, he got a Bib Gourmand of the Guide Michelin, 2 Feinschmecker F, a Gault-Millau-Haube, 2 Aral Schlemmer Atlas Spoons, 2 Bertelsmann-Köche and 2 Varta Diamonds and Tipp.
Since 2005, Werner Koslowski works as a consultant for the gastronomy in Germany and other countries. Furthermore, he performs regularly on TV in the live program “We in Bavaria” from January 2008 on. |
